The Meta-Environment is an open source project (BSDLicense). Its distributions contain the full source code, and the latest code from the repository is always online at ApiDocumentation.Third-party open source
Some components of the Meta-Environment depend on other open-source projects, for example:- Graphviz - graph layout algorithms
- Prefuse - graph visualization and animation for Java
- Flex and Bison - lexer and parser generation (only for bootstrapping)
- GCC - GNU C compiler
- InfoNode - docking windows for Java
- Silk icon set - Mark James' Silk icon set
